The 2007 gold buffalo proof was released on May 23, 2007 by the United States Mint with an public going price of $825.95 and a mintage limit of 200,000 coins. The 2007 gold buffalo proof release only sold 58,998 out of the possible 200k even tho it sold only a portion of the previous year sales, it still outperformed the 2007 gold eagle proof.
